Kyocera Is Releasing It's Version Of The Waterproof Phone
The newly annouced DuraForce is unique to Kyocera in one way. It offers three cameras. In addition to the front facing camera, the rear has a 13 and 5 megapixel camera. While the rear camera features a standard lens, the 5 megapixel rear camera is available to shoot action shots. The rear camera also has a wider 135 degree lens which enables you to record 1,920X1,080 pixel videos.
Waterproof Phones Are The New Thing
Considering that the device also includes a tough framework that is dust, shock and water resistant, the camera is especially handy for capturing water-friendly activities like swimming, surfing, and boating. Just make sure it's submerged for not more than 30 minutes in approximately 6.5 feet (2m) of water level. I don't know about you but 30 minutes of water activity just isn't enough.
DuraForce WILL OFFER FINGER PRINT READER FOR ADDED SECURITY
Beyond its cameras and toughness, the DuraForce Pro has a power button that doubles as a fingerprint reader for extra added user security and Android Pay. Its 5-inch screen has a 1,920x1,080-pixel resolution and its left edge houses a programmable push-to-talk button.
ANDROID OPERATING SYSTEM
The Android Marshmallow handset is powered by a 1.5GHz eight-core Snapdragon processor and a non-removable 3,240 mAh battery that features QuickCharge 2.0 technology from Qualcomm. Other features consist of dual front-facing speakers, 32GB of internal storage (with the option to expand up to 256GB with a microSD card) and 2GB of RAM.
The DuraForce Pro is slated for sometime this fall. However carrier details and pricing have not been made public, Kyocera says it'll cost considerably less than Samsung's best durable handset, the Galaxy S7 Active, which costs $795 on US carrier AT&T
